Fat, Black, and Natural. Pretty much describes me. May not sound too good to some, ugly almost. To me, it is a way for me to identify myself and who I am.
I was born into the African American heritage...never to look back. As if I had a choice. Even if I did, I wouldn't change it for a second.
Fat, Phat, Big, Plus Size, Chubby, Chunky, etc...all are words that describes me as far as my weight. Size 20-24 in pants. XL-3X tops. It just depends. I am a big girl. Thighs, hips, STOMACH, arms...I have it all. Plus more!
Natural (as in my hair) is the state of my hair. Manipulated not by chemicals. Kinks, coils, knots, everything. I started this journey a little over two years ago and I have not turned back yet.
Being FBN in America and in my community is not always easy, but I manage to get up everyday and smile. Self love is the best love right. There are people who make fun of me and have negative things to say. Along with the negativity, there is a bright side which I have totally embraced. I get plenty of compliments from strangers. Along with the compliments, there are some who just stare. I get questions on my hair all the time. Ladies often ask where my clothes or accessories are from and how can they get them. On the other hand, people watch me at the all you can eat buffet to see how much food I fix.
Like I said before, there is a negative side to being me. As with anything in the world today. I have decided not to let the negativity get to me. Instead, I focus on the good. I feed off of it every day. Love you for you. Everyone else will learn to do the same.

Spring/Summer Makeup (dry skin friendly)
I am not a professional MUA, but thanks to my lovelies on the YT, I have learned a thing or two!! Lets face it, I have learned a whole lot!!
My routine for the warmers seasons really doesn't change much from when its cold. The reason for this is my skin type. I have extremely dry skin that can become flaky!! The same radiance that most people like to have when it is warm is what I also go for when it is cool.
The picture below is from when it was cooler this year (back on October or November). If I can recall, I know I used my Maybelline BB Cream and my M.A.C. msf in deep dark (or dark deep)...I did my brows (not really because most of what you see are my natural brows), contoured a little (CoverGirl Queen bronzer-Ebony bronze) and highlighted a little (Black Radiance highlighter) and made up a wonderful lip with two lipsticks and a lip gloss!!
Now this next picture is a more recent picture and the whether is warmer. Everything is pretty much the same, except the BB Cream part because I did not use it!! I did use the orange corrector from my MAC Studio Finish pro palette (the one with the four studio finish concealers and two color correctors) under my eyes and around my mouth to cancel out the dark circles. Then I used my LA Girl pro concealers in Toast and Fawn to conceal (toast around my mouth and fawn under my eyes)...then I set my face with my MAC msf in deep dark. The lip color is almost neutral which is what I tend to go for anyway!! I used the same contour and highlighting items as above. O yeah, the blush I used in both pictures happens to be my favorite blush called SIENNA by La Femme!!
*If anybody would like to know specifics that I may not have mentioned (hairstyles, lip colors, etc.) please do not be afraid to comment and ask!! Thanks!!

J. Hudson and the Pink Lip...yyyeeessss
♥CAN SOMEBODY, ANYBODY, PLEASE TELL ME WHAT LIPSTICK THE BEAUTIFUL JENNIFER HUDSON ROCKED AT THE 2013 BLACK GIRLS ROCK AWARDS SHOW. I THINK SHE WORE THE SAME LIPSTICK ALL NIGHT AND THE COLOR IS SO NICE. I VISITED A FEW OTHER BLOGS BUT ALL I SAW WAS THAT SHE WORE A SMOKEY EYE AND PINK LIP. IT LOOKS LIKE A M.A.C. LIPSTICK BUT I AM NOT SURE WHICH ONE. IT IS PERFECT THOUGH...NOT TOO MUCH, BUT JUST ENOUGH. I♥IT!! PLEASE LEAVE THE NAME IN THE COMMENT SECTION IF YOU KNOW..I WOULD EVEN TAKE WILD GUESSES...LOL♥♥
BLACK GIRLS ROCK 2013
♥OMG, I was so excited to watch BLACK GIRLS ROCK this year and I must say that I enjoyed every moment of it. The performances were awesome, and the speeches that were made were even better. I don't usually have an awards show that I watch and don't have any complaints...but for this one, I cant think of a single thing that was out of place. My ladies really represented last night and that made me very proud!! Ms. KELLY ROWLAND/SEVYN STREETER/EVE...you gals rocked. So did Ms. Amber Riley, Essence, and Janelle Monae!! Of course JENNIFER HUDSON and ALICE SMITH used their powerhouse voices, and rocked it with my favorite performances. Mrs. Patti Labelle and Mariah did an amazing job as usual!! I really enjoyed the show. Here are a few pics if you missed it!!♥

Hi guys, I know that I have been Mia for some time now, but I wanted
to
come share this with you!! I am a huge makeup lover and collector. I am
not claiming to be a professional artist because actually I am just
learning and teaching myself thanks to YT and all of these great blogs
available. Surprisingly, as much as I love makeup, I have not gotten
into
the habit of wearing it. However, in the Winter, I plan on wearing a
little. Like simple eyes and neutral faces. I do not think that I am
going to be a FULL FACE kind of girl, but simple some concealer and one
of my favorite new products.....MAYBELLINE'S BB CREAM....yes people, I
think I am in love. It is a really light formula with just enough
coverage for me. I will use this product in the place of heavy
foundation!! If you have not tried it, please do. I am in the deepest
shade they have called DEEP and I love it.
